Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years veterinary clinical experience.
• Experience with patient restraint, medication preparation and hospitalized patient care.
• Ability to communicate professionally and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet clients and patients, record weight and vital signs on arrival.
• Triage, perform exams, treatments, and administer medications as directed by LVTs.
• Assist doctors with medications and patient restraint.
• Perform lab tests and radiographs; operate hospital equipment.
• Maintain medical records and proper documentation; ensure safety of controlled drugs.
• Feed, bathe, and groom patients; ensure cleanliness of hospital and kennels.
• Promote hospital products and services; respond to directions with urgency.
