Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department in the United States. The role involves anesthesia, phlebotomy, and assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, along with client communication and care instructions.

As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will handle CRIs, medical math, anesthesia induction/monitoring/recovery, radiology prep, and discharge education for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates medical math including mcg/mg, %/mg.
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Discharge IM patients with education (insulin, SQ fluids, feeding tube).
• Additional duties as assigned.
