Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Studio City, CA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine department. You will liaison between our internists and clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, and updates, and assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking x rays, and obtaining lab samples.

Qualifications

• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
