Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join our clinical team. The role focuses on collaboration with internists, patient care, and client communication in a fast-paced emergency and specialty setting.

Responsibilities include anesthesia support, CRI setup, imaging prep, endoscopy assistance, and thorough client education at discharge. Prior veterinary experience and an RVT license are highly valued.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRI, conversions).
• Experience with anesthesia, ultrasound, radiology or GI/endoscopy procedures is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates medical dosages and conversions (mcg/mg, %/mg).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Discharge patients and educate clients.
