Job summary

MedVet is seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician (Assistant) to join our fast-growing team. The role supports internists, handles anesthesia tasks, and coordinates client education while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Proposed schedule is Mon-Thurs 7a-5p. Prior veterinary experience and a state-registered technician license are preferred, with opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• State-registered veterinary technician preferred.
• Prior veterinary experience required; internal medicine or anesthesia experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations for drugs, CRI and unit conversions.
• Flexible hours and able to work additional hours when needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Perform medical calculations including CRI and unit conversions.
• Induce, monitor and recover patients from anesthesia.
• Prepare for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Discharge patients and educate clients.
