Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Registered Nurse - Internal Medicine at Parma Health Center to provide compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice across biological, physical, psychosocial, and medical sciences.
• Knowledge of nursing instrumentation and supplies.
• Knowledge of medical asepsis principles.
• Ability to work well with coworkers and medical staff.
• High degree of physical coordination and dexterity.
• PRN/Float staff require prior unit experience.
• Acquisition of unit-specific competencies within the defined period.
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, PEARS; NRP per AAP guidelines.
• Preferred: CNOR for OR, PACU/critical care experience, pediatric experience, psychiatry or radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, document, and evaluate nursing care for patients in assigned area.
• Direct activities of nursing personnel to meet patient needs.
• Observe, assess, and report patient conditions to the care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation reflecting patient status and response to care.
• Uphold MetroHealth System mission, vision, and customer service standards.
