Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Internal Medicine physician in Oshkosh, WI. Join a busy, well-respected practice with strong referral support and the resources of a robust health system.

Employed within a nonprofit system, you will provide comprehensive care for adults 18+ in outpatient and inpatient settings, with opportunities for quality improvement, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a community known for its vibrant culture and access to the Fox River and Lake Winnebago.

Qualifications

• MD/DO required and licensed to practice in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
• Board eligibility/certification in Internal Medicine preferred.
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient care for adult patients 18+ in a campus-based clinic.
• Collaborate with a team including 1 other physician, 2 APPs, and nursing staff.
• Manage referrals and hospital-based responsibilities as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in academic activities as desired and support continuous learning.

How You'll Make an Impact in This Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an Internal Medicine Physician to join a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join a collaborative, well-supported Internal Medicine practice with 1 other Physician, 2 APPs, and strong nursing support.

• Care for a diverse adult patient population (18+) within a campus-based clinic at Mercy Hospital, offering seamless access to a wide range of specialties and strong referral support.

• Call structure with other sites: 1:11.

• Practice setting: Outpatient clinic with an average of 16 patients per day, supporting quality, patient-centered care.

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system.

• Deliver comprehensive patient care across outpatient and inpatient settings, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, and consultation, with opportunities to manage referrals and hospital-based responsibilities as needed.

• Engage in quality improvement, cost-effective care initiatives, and academic activities as desired, while maintaining timely, accurate documentation and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

One or more of the following required:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Advanced Life Support preferred.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
