Job summary

Urban Health Plan in New York is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to deliver comprehensive medical care in a community health setting.

You will diagnose and treat patients, coordinate care with a team of NP/PA/CNM providers, and participate in community health initiatives within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program.
• Board Certification.
• Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to treat, prevent and diagnose illness, disease, or injury.
• Examine patients and conduct tests to determine medical status.
• Prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medications and vaccines.
• Explain procedures and discuss test results with patients.

Job Description

Seeking Internal Medicine Physicians to provide medical care to treat, prevent and/or diagnose illness, disease, or injury. Examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status. Analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient. Prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination. Explains procedures and discusses test results on prescribed treatments with patient. Advise patients and community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. Collaborate with and supervise non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc). Perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs/demands.

Experience and Skills
