Urban Health Plan in the Bronx, NY is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care in a community health setting.

The role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing illnesses, and collaborating with NP/PA teams to deliver patient-centered care. NY license, CDS/DEA, and BLS are required; MD/DO degree with residency training is essential.

Qualifications

Job Description

Seeking Family Medicine Physicians to provide medical care to treat, prevent and/or diagnose illness, disease, or injury. Examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status. Analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient. Prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination. Explains procedures and discusses test results on prescribed treatments with patient. Advise patients and community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. Collaborate with and supervise non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc). Perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs/demands.

Experience and Skills

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program
• Board Certified
• Valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, andBLS
• Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred

Annual salary

Annual salary from $225,000 to $250,000 per year
