Job summary

The position involves compound/dispense duties, participation in CQI, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to optimize outcomes. Shifts are rotating with some weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Program graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist License in NM (New Mexico).
• Board certification is a nonessential credential.

Responsibilities

• Consult with physicians, other health professionals, and patients about drug usage and dosing.
• Compound and dispense medications per physician orders.
• Participate in CQI programs and ensure adherence to policies and guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about drug therapies and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize drug therapy and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory management for controlled substances.
• Support Nursing and clinical teams with IV/PO conversions and renal dosing.
