Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214/EMT in lieu of program.
• Two years of verifiable full-time MA experience within last 5 years.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within 45 days where required by dept.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, med history, screenings, and health maintenance.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Performs other duties: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Cross-trained for relevant clinic duties.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and quality equipment.
