Job summary

University of Kansas St Francis in Topeka, KS is seeking a full-time BC Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a high-performing Internal Medicine team. The APP will support physicians with established-patient follow-ups, chronic disease management, and post-discharge visits in an outpatient setting.

Schedule is 7-4pm, Monday through Friday, with no clinic call. The role emphasizes improving access and coordinating care with a team of three physicians and one APP.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• ACLS/BLS Certification.
• Basic Internal Medicine procedures with wound care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide established-patient follow-up visits and chronic disease management.
• Support transitions of care and post-discharge follow-ups.
• Perform same-day and acute visits when appropriate to improve access.
• Review diagnostics and lab results for appropriate follow-up.
