Job summary

Sourcepass is seeking an Internal IT Engineer to support our Melville, NY headquarters. You will provision user accounts, manage hardware, and assist employees with IT issues on a Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm EST schedule.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical support, asset management, and ensuring security across networks and devices. Qualified candidates will have 2–5 years of experience and be ready to obtain CompTIA A+ and Network+ within a year.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of technical support experience preferred.
• Azure, Office 365 experience is a plus.
• CompTIA A+ and Network+ within 12 months of hire.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Onsite work in Melville, NY required.

Responsibilities

• Provision and de-provision user accounts for onboarding/offboarding.
• Asset management for laptops, monitors, docking stations, webcams, headsets.
• Check hardware for functionality and troubleshoot issues.
• Install and configure software per specifications.
• Maintain security and privacy of networks and systems.
• Provide orientation on software and equipment to users.
• Document support interactions in ConnectWise.
• Coordinate with vendors for open support requests.

Description

As an Internal IT Engineer, you will be responsible for user account and equipment provisioning as well as assisting employees with resolving their IT-related issues. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm EST onsite at our headquarters office in Melville, NY. The salary for this position is $60,000-$70,000.

Desired Skillset/ Experience

• Technical Support Experience: 2-5 Years (Preferred)

Requirements

• Provision and de-provision user accounts for employee on/offboarding
• Asset management and allocation including but not limited to laptops, monitors, docking stations, webcams, headsets
• Check computer hardware (HDD, mice, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment
• Organize and schedule diagnostic testing around employee availability to inhibit impact
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, etc.)
• Maintain records of support interactions and time spent in ConnectWise (communication, diagnostics tests / results)
• Identify and document computer or network equipment warranty issues and communicate them internally.
• Act as a liaison between vendors and employees for open vendor support requests
