Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is expanding its internal communications function in Memphis, TN. We seek an Internal Communications & Media Manager to connect teams through clear, engaging messages, and to manage channels, content, and leadership communications.

Ideal candidates have 5–8+ years in internal comms, strong writing and project management skills, and a track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in internal communications or a related field.
• Experience supporting multi-location or distributed teams.
• Experience managing communication channels and/or media platforms.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and supporting leadership communications.

Responsibilities

• Communication Strategy & Execution – Support and execute internal communication plans aligned with business priorities.
• Content & Channel Management – Manage intranet, email, digital signage, video; create clear written and multimedia content.
• Executive & Leadership Support – Draft and edit leadership communications; support cascading info across the business.
• Employee Engagement & Partnership – Collaborate with HR, Operations, IT and other teams; strengthen engagement and culture.
• Operational Excellence & Improvement – Track engagement metrics; use data to improve communication efforts.
