Job summary

SJE seeks an Internal Communications Manager to develop and execute clear, engaging internal communications across all brands and locations. You will work with senior leaders to ensure employees are informed, connected, and aligned with goals and culture, crafting content for intranet, town halls, and leadership messages.

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in communications or related fields; primary locations include Birmingham, AL, Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in communications, employer brand, public relations, recruitment marketing, or a related field are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication plans that support company goals and leadership priorities.
• Plan, write, edit, and distribute internal communications across channels (announcements, intranet, leadership messages).
• Maintain a consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment across internal communications.
• Translate complex information into clear messages for broad employee audiences.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, Marketing, and leaders to ensure timely communications.
• Coordinate with external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
