Job summary

SJE is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to support internal communications across all divisions and locations, focusing on content creation, channels, and brand voice. You will drive engagement and maintain consistency with our Proud to Be SJE culture.

Based in Birmingham, AL, Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH, you will partner with senior leaders to align messaging with values and change initiatives, delivering clear communications and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in communications or related field.
• Experience in employer branding, public relations, or recruitment marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication plans that support goals and culture initiatives.
• Plan, write, edit, and distribute internal communications including announcements and leadership messages.
• Maintain a consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment across communications.
• Translate complex information into clear messages for broad employee audiences.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Marketing and senior leaders to ensure timely, accurate communications.
• Coordinate with external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Manage internal communication platforms and monitor effectiveness.
