Job summary

SJE seeks an Internal Communications Manager to support internal comms across all divisions and locations, with roles based in Birmingham, AL, Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH.

You will develop, coordinate, and deliver engaging internal communications, partnering with senior leaders to maintain a consistent brand voice and culture across the organization. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in communications are required.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in communications, employer brand, public relations, recruitment marketing, or a related field are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute internal communication plans that support company goals and culture initiatives.
• Plan, write, edit, and distribute internal communications including announcements, presentations, videos, scripts, intranet updates, and leadership messages.
• Maintain a consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment across internal communications.
• Translate complex information into clear, easy-to-understand messages for broad employee audiences.
• Partner with HR, Operations, Marketing, and senior leaders to ensure communications are accurate, relevant, and timely.
• Support communication needs for major initiatives including acquisitions, branding, or culture changes.
• Coordinate with external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
