Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks an experienced Internal Communications Specialist to draft, edit, and publish brand-aligned messaging across emails, Slack, Confluence, and digital signage. You will coordinate internal comms submissions with cross-functional leads, support All-Hands and on-site events at Devens, and manage recognition programs and the editorial calendar.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or marketing operations.
• Ability to work in person at Devens, MA campus to support hands-on meeting execution and cross-functional coordination.
• Strong writing, proofreading, and line-editing skills with the ability to turn raw information into clear employee communications.
• Strong visual eye for presentation design, layout formatting, and brand consistency (Google Slides).
• Comfortable using generative AI tools as an efficiency multiplier in daily workflows.
• Ability to take direction from the Head of Internal Communications, manage tight daily deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional partners across the company.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Channel Writing: Draft, edit, and publish concise, brand-aligned messaging, including emails, Slack updates, Confluence, and digital signage
• Inbound Request Management: Coordinate internal communication submissions with cross-functional leads to advise on content, review and schedule their communications
• Speaker Support: Organize, reformat, and refine presentation slide decks to align with branding and formatting standards
• All-Hands Meetings: Coordinate meeting logistics, presenter schedules, slides, and audience Q&A tools
• On-Site Event Support: Assist with live meeting setup at Devens, manage AV/IT coordination, and draft post-meeting emails
• Recognition Programs: Administer logistics and communications for employee recognition programs
• Calendar Management: Maintain internal communications editorial calendar
• Targeted Campaign Rollouts: Project manage internal comms projects and messaging
