Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Phoenix seeks a senior leader to recruit and develop the internal broker team, oversee performance of brokers, and drive growth across the Property & Casualty line of business.

You will collaborate with USI offices to source wholesale opportunities, manage P&L, and ensure accurate agency management system use, while traveling as required to foster key partnerships and client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Property & Casualty brokerage or underwriting experience.
• Must hold or obtain Property & Casualty licensure.
• Ability to manage a team effectively.
• Broad knowledge of insurance market appetite.
• Willingness to travel 33%-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, manage, and develop assigned team with leadership and performance management.
• Oversee internal brokers and/or commissioned brokers in the vertical.
• Engage USI offices with wholesale business opportunities aligned to the vertical.
• Manage P&L to growth targets with cost controls.
• Market, quote, and bind new and renewal business directed to internal wholesale team.
• Identify market, price, coverage, and terms for internal clients.
• Gather risk assessment information and evaluate quotes and contract provisions.
• Lead policy closing, invoicing, and policy issuance.
• Maintain relationships with carriers and expand partnerships.
• Develop professional skills and stay informed on industry trends.
