Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) offers a ten-week paid internship that can be located in Chicago, IL, or Richardson, TX. The Internal Audit Intern will participate in the formal internship program, support cross‑functional teams, analyze data, and contribute to project work under mentorship.

You will learn about internal controls, HIPAA compliance, and data analytics while delivering a final internship presentation to leadership.

Qualifications

• Data analysis, health insurance, information technology or related intern experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently to plan, design and execute on assigned projects.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient PC skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from a mentor and manager.
