Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) offers a ten-week paid Audit Specialist Intern program in Richardson, TX, designed to develop hands-on skills in claims auditing and data analysis. You will work with ASO clients and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and performance targets are met.

The internship emphasizes project work, real-world reporting, and professional development. Successful interns will gain exposure to HIPAA compliance, contract knowledge, and internal business

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, audit or related field.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Available for the full 10-week program.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.
• Experience with medical claims audits or BlueChip is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with claim accuracy audits and performance tracking for ASO clients.
• Maintain knowledge of contracts, coding schemes, COB procedures, pricing and provider files.
• Own components of project work with guidance from a mentor and manager.
• Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and comply with HIPAA and related policies.
