Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing the educational equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, management or related field with 30 college hours completed and a 2.0 GPA.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Understanding of Government Auditing Standards and IS Standards for Internal Auditing.
• Strong research, organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and execution of audit assignments per professional standards.
• Support risk assessments at the engagement level.
• Help determine audit objectives and develop procedures to meet them.
• Assist in evaluating control design and effectiveness to mitigate risks.
• Assist in reporting results and recommending improvements.
• Help with special reviews and testing of transactions for compliance.
• Perform audits and reviews under supervision, in a learning capacity.
• Contribute to a wide variety of tasks as a learner.
