Arkansas Department of Transportation is seeking a student in the Internal Audit Division to assist with audit tasks under supervision. The position is based in Little Rock, AR, and travel is required.

The role supports planning, testing, reporting, and recommendations in accordance with government auditing standards; ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least 30 hours completed and a 2.0 GPA.

Qualificações

• Student pursuing the educational equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, management or related field and 30 college hours toward this degree with a 2.0 GPA.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Understanding of Government Auditing Standards and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing; strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Train and assist in the planning and execution of audit/review assignments in line with professional standards.
• Assist in determining audit objectives based on risk assessment and develop procedures to achieve them.
• Assist in evaluating efficiency and effectiveness of controls designed to mitigate risks.
• Assist in reporting results of audits clearly and making recommendations for improvements using root cause analysis.
• Assist in the performance of audits/reviews, internal or external to the Department’s operations.
• Perform a wide variety of tasks in a learning capacity.
