Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, or related business field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Auditing experience is required or strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong analytical and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Section Head in personnel matters, including hiring, evaluating performance, time and leave approvals, and disciplinary actions.
• Assist in completing audit projects, reviewing workpapers, findings, and draft reports to ensure quality.
• Coordinate and assign work among section staff and act as point of contact in the Section Head’s absence.
• Prepare audit/review programs to assess compliance with state and federal regulations and department policies.
• Develop clear audit reports and support process improvements in audit methodologies.
