Job summary

The First Internet Bank internship program in Fishers, Indiana offers hands-on exposure to internal audit across performance, operations, finance and compliance. You will support audit projects, assist with testing, document processes, and learn how risk management and controls support the bank's objectives.

We look for students pursuing accounting, finance, or related fields with strong communication, detail orientation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, risk management, or related field.
• Coursework or knowledge in internal audit, risk management, or internal controls is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal audit procedures, including reviewing and analyzing evidence, documenting processes, and testing internal controls.
• Analyze audit evidence and prepare documentation or flowcharts of processes, risks, and controls.
• Identify potential control issues and improvement opportunities to strengthen efficiency and recordkeeping.
• Support SOX 404 testing and other audit assignments as needed.
• Prepare work products clearly through documentation, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
