Job summary

First Internet Bank invites talented students to join our Risk Intern program in Fishers, Indiana. You will be assigned to a risk-related area such as Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Fraud Operations, or BSA/AML, gaining hands-on exposure to controls and risk mitigation.

During structured training, you’ll support risk research, data organization, and reporting, while developing an understanding of how risk functions support the bank.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Interest in banking, enterprise risk, regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, BSA/AML.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with data analysis or reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, research, organization, data management, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Learn the responsibilities, regulatory considerations, workflows, systems, and business purpose of the assigned risk area.
• Assist with risk, compliance, fraud, or BSA/AML research and analysis.
• Support collection, review, validation, organization of records, data, alerts, reports, schedules, inventories, agreements, policies, procedures, or other department documentation.
• Assist with monitoring, testing, reviews, investigations, issue tracking, regulatory change support, third‑party risk activities, or other control processes.
• Prepare or update reports, charts, graphs, presentations, summaries, meeting materials, and other work products used to communicate risk‑related information.
• Participate in internal meetings and collaborate with colleagues, business lines, external partners, or service providers.
