Job summary

Halliburton in Houston, TX invites ambitious students to apply for an Audit Intern position. The 10-14 week, full-time, in-person internship offers hands-on experience in areas such as Order to Cash, General Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inventory Management and Vendor Contracts, with exposure to senior leadership.

During the program you will operate as a near-full-time hire, build professional networks, learn our systems, and gain insight into a global oilfield services leader.

What You’ll Do…

This position is located in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time in-person internships. The summer 2027 internship is expected to begin on May 23, 2027.

As an Audit Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience and contribute to the review and audit of processes such as Order to Cash, General Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inventory Management, Vendor Contracts and Management, as well as other Ad Hoc areas of review. During this internship, you will work as if you were a full-time new hire would be given. As part of your development, you will gain a broad-based understanding of our business, learn our organization and systems, establish a professional network within one of the leading global oilfield service companies, have exposure and discussions with senior executives, and experience a variety of social events and facility tours.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate risks associated with Halliburton's control environment for Corporate, Domestic and Foreign (potentially) operating locations.
• Develop management action plans and recommendations to improve operational effectiveness.
• Analyze and evaluate complex business controls and processes.
• Communicate effectively with "client" and senior management.
• Provide clear and concise reports to Management.
• Facilitate best practices.
• Help create a collaborative, positive work environment with the auditee.

• Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.

Salary Range: $26/hour
