Job summary

Waypoint Investments seeks an Internal Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support strategic decisions. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, AP/AR, and month-end closes with detailed reporting and trend analysis.

You will engage with owners and teams to align financial strategies with operations, while leading efficiency enhancements and profitability initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Strong grounding in financial principles, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Creative and strategic problem-solving ability and effective communication.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping: AP/AR, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain organized financial records in line with regulatory standards.
• Manage month-end close process with timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare financial and performance reports; analyze data for trends and risks.
• Discuss reports with owners and team; provide actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with business owners to align financial and operational goals.
• Identify and lead process-improvement projects to boost efficiency and profitability.
