Job summary

TC Energy is offering a student work term in Power Platform where you will design and implement Power Apps, automate workflows with Power Automate, and build dashboards using Power BI. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions and participate in testing and documentation.

Preferred candidates are enrolled in Information Systems, CS, or related programs, familiar with Excel/SharePoint/Teams, and eager to learn AI capabilities like Copilot

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in accredited Information Systems, CS, Business, or related degree.
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to May 2027 start.
• Returning to full-time studies after the work term; 40 hours/week.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams).

What you'll do

• Assist in designing and developing solutions using Power Apps, including canvas and model-driven applications
• Support workflow automation initiatives using Power Automate to streamline business processes
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI
• Explore and support the use of Power Platform Copilot, AI Builder, and other AI capabilities to enhance business solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Participate in testing, debugging, and enhancement activities for existing Power Platform solutions
• Document business processes, applications, technical designs, and solution requirements
• Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related degree program
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
• Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term
• Basic understanding of data concepts, business processes, or application development
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Excel, SharePoint, and Teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI
• Interest in or exposure to artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, including AI Builder, Copilot, or data modeling
• Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, JavaScript, Python, or other scripting languages
• Experience with data visualization, reporting, or business intelligence tools
• Understanding of low-code or no-code development principles
• Demonstrate a safety mindset, in a professional and personal setting
• Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
• Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment, and adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
