Job summary

The Reading Fightin Phils internship provides hands-on experience with our video production team, creating graphics, content, and videos for in-park and online audiences.

You'll work on live game presentation, edit highlight reels, and support sponsor activations while gaining exposure to professional baseball operations at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Qualifications

• Upperclassmen or recent college graduates pursuing hands-on experience in Minor League Baseball.
• Creative and detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced, live environment.
• Experience or coursework in video production or graphic design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in in-game video board operations and graphics rendering.
• Create graphics, videos and content for the video board and gameday presentation.
• Produce postgame highlights and promotional clips for in‑stadium and online use.
• Capture and edit photo/video content at games and events.
• Collaborate with marketing and partnerships teams on sponsor activations.
• Support front office staff and ensure smooth live productions.

Position Overview

The Reading Fightin Phils internship is a great learning experience for upperclassmen and recent college graduates who want hands‑on experience in Minor League Baseball. The Video Production/Graphic Design Intern works directly with the team’s video production staff to create graphics, content, and videos that entertain fans, both in the ballpark and online. This position plays a vital role in game presentation, from live video board operations to highlight packages and promotional content, and offers extensive hands‑on experience in live production and digital content creation. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, live-event environment.

Key Responsibilities

Live Game Presentation

• Assist with in-game video board operations, including running video, graphics, replays, and camera feeds
• Operate live production equipment, including NewTek Tricaster and 3Play systems, and Daktronics Show Control
• Support the game day production crew, including camera operators and control room staff
• Set up, test, maintain, and properly store production equipment before and after each game
• Troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced live-production environment

Video & Graphic Content

• Create graphics, videos, and content designed to entertain fans, including content for the video board and other gameday presentation elements
• Produce postgame highlight packages and edit promotional clips for in-stadium and online use
• Produce commercials, promotional videos, and other content for marketing and sponsor use
• Capture and edit photo and video content at games, community appearances, and special events
• Develop creative content concepts that showcase the Fightin Phils brand, players, promotions, theme nights, and fan experience
• Help organize and maintain photo, video, and digital content libraries

Collaboration & Event Support

• Collaborate with the marketing, promotions, and partnership teams to support sponsor activations, theme nights, and special events
• Attend and contribute to on-site activations and community appearances
• Assist front office staff with other tasks as they arise
• Perform all job tasks in compliance with the philosophy, policies, goals, and budget of the Reading Fightin Phils
