RailPros seeks a Track Engineering Intern to support the planning, design, and engineering of railroad track projects alongside experienced professionals.

You will assist with track geometry analysis, engineering calculations, design development, and project documentation while gaining exposure to industry standards and best practices.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil/Rail Engineering degree and eager to learn new tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, and InRail.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • 0-2 years of experience in track engineering or related field.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation and InRail preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in designing rail and civil engineering projects.
  • Perform alignment, drainage, utilities, at-grade crossings and earthwork design using AutoCAD, MicroStation and InRail.
  • Cost estimating, specifications, and construction submittals review.
  • Assist in preparation of rail and civil plans for freight, commuter, and transit projects.
  • Limited field observation on project sites before, during, and after construction.

Job SummaryJoin RailPros as a Track Engineering Intern and gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of rail transportation infrastructure. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support the planning, design, and engineering of railroad track projects while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
