Job summary

Hamilton County, Ohio in Cincinnati seeks an Intern to Commissioner – Driehaus to assist the commissioner's staff on projects and community engagement activities.

Qualifications

Intern to Commissioner – Driehaus

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Responsibilities
  • Work with commissioner’s staff and other assigned staff to support various projects.
  • Assist with engagement of community members and stakeholders; may draft material in line with the county mission for public disbursement.
  • Perform administrative duties; compose routine correspondence; receive and forward incoming telephone calls; reproduce, file, and distribute documents.
  • Assist with event support and agenda preparation.
  • Support digital communication efforts such as newsletters.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Communications, or a related field applicable to governmental agency duties.
  • Basic knowledge of public sector budgeting and finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residency and valid motor vehicle insurance.
  • Vehicle available for use in performing various responsibilities.
Work Location and Hours

138 East Court St. Cincinnati, OH 45202

Work days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
