Arlington Toyota in Palatine, IL offers an internship as a Dealership Lube Technician. You will perform preventative maintenance and identify service needs to ensure customer safety and satisfaction, in a fast-paced dealership environment.

This paid internship provides hands-on training, benefits, and a clear pathway into automotive service, with duties including oil changes, tire care, inspections, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proficient with basic automotive tools.
• Experience with fluid exchange machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluid services: Drain and refill engine oil, replace filters, and top off all critical automotive fluids.
• Conduct tire maintenance: Rotate tires, mount and balance, and check tire pressures.
• Execute multi-point inspections: Inspect brakes, lines, hoses, belts, and underbody components.
• Document and communicate: Record all work on repair orders and report additional repair needs clearly to Service Advisors.
• Maintain shop safety: Keep work bays clean, organized, and compliant with dealership and OSHA safety standards.

Salary Range: $10.00 - $15.00 Hourly

We are seeking an Dealership Lube Technician to join our fast-paced automotive service team. You will perform high-quality, efficient preventative maintenance while identifying additional service needs to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform fluid services: Drain and refill engine oil, replace filters, and top off all critical automotive fluids.


• Conduct tire maintenance: Execute tire rotations, precision mounting, balancing, and pressure checks.


• Execute multi-point inspections: Inspect brake pads, lines, hoses, belts, and underbody components thoroughly.


• Document and communicate: Record all work on repair orders and report additional repair needs clearly to Service Advisors.


• Maintain shop safety: Keep work bays clean, organized, and compliant with dealership and OSHA safety standards.

QualificationsRequirements & Qualifications

• Technical skills: Proficient with basic automotive tools, fluid exchange machines, and tire equipment.


• Physical ability: Able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.


• Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have dependable transportation.
