AFM North Inc. – Indianapolis, IN 46268 is seeking an entry-level Dealership Lube Technician Intern to join our fast-paced automotive service team. You will perform preventative maintenance and help identify service needs to keep customers safe.

This internship offers extensive training, exposure to basic tools, tire work, and multi-point inspections, with opportunities to learn from experienced technicians and grow within the dealership.

Qualifications

• Proficient with basic automotive tools, fluid exchange machines, and tire equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluid services: Drain and refill engine oil, replaceFilters, and top off all critical automotive fluids.
• Conduct tire maintenance: Execute tire rotations, precision mounting, balancing, and pressure checks.
• Execute multi-point inspections: Inspect brake pads, lines, hoses, belts, and underbody components thoroughly.
• Document and communicate: Record all work on repair orders and report additional repair needs clearly to Service Advisors.
• Maintain shop safety: Keep work bays clean, organized, and compliant with dealership and OSHA safety standards.

QualificationsRequirements & Qualifications

• Technical skills: Proficient with basic automotive tools, fluid exchange machines, and tire equipment.
• Physical ability: Able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have dependable transportation.
• Mindset: Strong attention to detail, a positive team attitude, and a focus on safety.
