Join us in HR to support several districts across the state, while also gaining real-world experiences in entry-level administrative support, data entry, recruiting assistance, onboarding and HR

Qualifications

  • Must be a student in high school or enrolled in college/university.
  • At least 16 years old; student currently enrolled in high school or higher education.
  • Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Performs entry-level administrative support work for the HR department.
  • Enter data into various Human Resources systems.
  • Assist with recruiting, pre-employment/due diligence tasks and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Support event preparation for district events and wellness initiatives.
  • Provide customer service and assist HR Generalists with tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Performs entry-level administrative support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor. Responsible for providing support to HR operations in the East Branch. Will work with other interns and local HR Generalists to complete assigned tasks and projects, provide customer service, and perform other duties assigned.



  • Assists in maintaining confidential information and records.

  • Primarily supports the HR Generalists teams.

  • Maintains files, records, and logs.

  • Enter data into various Human Resources systems.

  • Assists with recruiting, pre-employment/due diligence tasks and onboarding/offboarding.

  • Conducts data audits/updates - Education, Driver's License, Safety Impact, Professional Engineer, Emergency Contact and other systems information, as assigned.

  • Assists in event preparation, including but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, Recruiting, Wellness and other district events as needed.

  • Gains exposure to Human Resources-related issues. (observing conversations & presentations; assisting with other tasks as needed.)

  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education

Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.


Other Conditions

Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.


Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not temperature changes


Light work: Lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs


Sitting - prolonged periods of time


Standing-prolonged periods of time


Repetitive Motion - substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
