Job summary

Light & Wonder in Las Vegas is looking for a Software Intern to join a global engineering team that builds the technology behind internal systems and customer-facing products. You will help maintain automation, tooling for build, packaging, deploy, and test, and learn how a healthy software supply chain works in production.

You will contribute to small development tasks, troubleshoot issues, document work, and collaborate with engineers to understand requirements and architectures.

Qualifications

• Entry level position, some experience in a software development environment preferred.
• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Genuine interest in DevOps and the software supply chain.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work well on a team.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Detailed oriented and capable of working and completing tasks with supervision.
• Exposure to virtual environments, Jenkins automation, Packer/Docker, Chocolatey desired.
• Some Development abilities in C#, C++, VBScript, JavaScript, ASP.Net, HTML, Perl, awk, Python, Lua, PowerShell, Bash
• Experience with databases such as MS SQL Server
• Exposure to software version control systems; GitHub, Perforce
