Job summary

Keystone Cooperative in Richmond, VA is offering a summer internship focused on agronomy, energy markets, and safety/risk management from May to August. The program adapts to your interests and experience to maximize learning and future employment potential.

You will work with the safety team on inspections, training sessions, and safety material development, with travel to multiple sites (about 60% travel; 40% in-office) and strict deadlines.

Position Overview :

Our goal is to create a program that is an excellent learning experience for anyone interested in agronomy, energy markets, and safety and risk management between the months of May and August. The internship will be tailored to the interests of the intern and experience level to maximize the learning experience. It will be an opportunity to earn money while having more than just an average summer internship. This program will also allow Keystone Cooperative to evaluate potential employees and develop a talent pool in which to hire from in an increasingly competitive job market. Your experience as an intern will cater to your interests and strengths. The internships we have to offer will be hands-on, real world working experience. As with all of our internships the interns will contribute to the success of the department in which he/she is assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Work closely with the safety team members and assist with the following projects:

• Perform facility inspections that monitor safety issues and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with applicator training sessions.
• Develop safety topics, Powerpoint presentations and study materials for employee safety training.
• Assist with regulatory plan compliance.
• Travel to various locations for special projects to assist safety team. (travel 60% of time, 40% in office)
