Job summary

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. offers a summer internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and general management within agronomy and agriculture sales.

The internship adapts to the intern's interests and experience, offering a paid learning opportunity from May through August. Interns will assist the corporate credit and finance department, gain understanding of financial statements, and interact with Sales staff and growers to develop real-world skills in

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Ag Econ or other relevant field.
• Overall GPA 3.0 or better.
• Experience with Excel and other financial platforms such as Fintech, Digital Platform and Digital Wallet.

Responsibilities

• Work with the corporate credit and finance department to assist in various functions.
• Possess an understanding of balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, accruals.
• Work with account management including managing AR aging and write offs.
• Attend meetings with staff as necessary.
• Develop firsthand understanding of the processes and procedures required to support the finance and credit needs of a large cooperative.
• Exposure to financial collaboration and conversations with Sales staff and grower customers.
• Gain experience in the input financing underwriting process including financial analysis.

Job DescriptionPosition Overview: Our goal is to create a program that is an excellent learning experience for anyone interested in accounting, finance or general management in the agronomy, general agriculture, precision agriculture and/or sales industry between the months of May and August. The internship will be tailored to the interests of the intern and experience level to maximize the learning experience. It will be an opportunity to earn money while having more than just an average summer internship. This program will also allow Keystone Cooperative to evaluate potential employees and develop a talent pool in which to hire from in an increasingly competitive job market. Your experience as an intern will cater to your interests and strengths.
