Job summary

LPU Batangas is offering a hands-on role for students pursuing Civil Engineering, focusing on producing engineering drawings with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD, and assisting with basic calculations and data input.

You will participate in field inspections and contribute to multiple project phases by reviewing drawings and proofreading reports, developing practical engineering skills in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergrad or graduate program in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interest or internship in roadway/highway engineering including design, inspection, and construction.
• Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD on real client projects.
• Conduct basic engineering calculations and input data into analysis software.
• Participate in field assignments, including roadway and highway inspections to support project needs.
• Review drawings, proofread reports and perform related engineering support tasks.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Support real client projects by creating engineering and construction drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD.
• Assist in fundamental engineering tasks such as conducting basic engineering calculations and inputting data into analysis software.
• Participate in field assignments, including inspections of roadways and highways to support project needs.
• Contribute to various project phases by reviewing drawings, proofreading reports, and performing related engineering support tasks.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest or prior internship experience in Roadway and Highway Engineering, including design, inspection, and construction.
• Basic proficiency in CAD, spreadsheets, interpreting design drawings, and technical writing.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Working proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer.
• Preferred: Experience using engineering analysis and design software such as Civil 3D and HEC-RAS.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly salary range of $21.00 - $28.00, dependent on experience and geographic location.
