Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. offers a paid Flight Operations internship at the World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

You will assist a designated team (Training and Standards, Line Operations, or Chief Pilot Office) while collaborating on a team project to present to Flight Operations Leadership at semester end. Eligible candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate aviation program with a minimum 2.5 GPA and must be able to work onsite in Atlanta.

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation discipline.
• Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Working as an Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation.
• Must be able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline: January 2027 through May 2027.
• Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving divisional goals and contribute to the success of Delta Air Lines.
• Work with a specific team (Training and Standards, Line Operations, or Chief Pilot Office).
• Contribute to a team assignment to be presented to Flight Operations Leadership at the end of the semester.
• Learn about other departments such as Flight Safety, Operations Customer Center, and more.

How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

A Flight Operations(Flight School) intern will assist in achieving divisional goals andcontributing to the overall success of Delta Air Lines. Interns will be workingwith a specific team such as but not limited to Training and Standards, LineOperations or the Chief Pilot Office . While each intern will be assignedindividual duties, all interns are expected to work as a team to complete ateam assignment that will be presented to Flight Operations Leadership at theend of the semester.

Interns will have theopportunity to learn about other departments, such as but not limited to FlightSafety, Operations Customer Center, Technical Operations, In-Flight Service,and Airport Customer Service.

This is a paidinternship, including additional privileges such as standby travel anywhere inthe Delta system while off duty.

This is not aremote position, Interns will work on-site at Delta's World Headquarters inAtlanta, Georgia.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

• Mustbe enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviationdiscipline.
• Musthave a minimum 2.5 GPA and be able to maintain the minimum GPA.
• Workingas an Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation.This position is intended to provide you with educational and professionalwork experience to prepare you for the workforce.
• Mustbe able to commit to the duration of the internship timeline:

oJanuary2027 through May 2027

• Must be able to work onsite in the Atlanta, GA office.
• Strongorganizational, project management, and personal management skills.
• Robustverbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Abilityto work well in teams.
• Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embracesdiverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Possessesa high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Isat least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the UnitedStates.
• Possessexcellent communication skills, be able to process complicated issuesquickly, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitiveinformation.
• Musthave a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel,Forms PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
• Mustdemonstrate competency in skills that include, but are not limited to,managing, and working training equipment, the collection and analysis offlight planning data, reading and summarizing new regulations, and theability to quickly relate to the advanced jet environment.
• Shouldhave a minimum of 150 total flight hours required, actively pursuingeither a Commercial Pilot Certificate or a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI).
