Qualifications

  • Rising senior in an undergraduate program with a graduation date December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
  • Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution.
  • At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale.
  • Must work full-time during the Summer 2027 semester and cannot take courses.
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship.
  • Working as an Intern does not guarantee full-time opportunity after graduation.

The Finance Department is seeking summer interns with interest in joining the full-time Rotational Finance Development Program (FDP) upon graduation. Summer interns are placed within the Finance organization in areas such as Treasury, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Operational Finance, Investor Relations, Fuel Management, and Division Controllership. Over the course of the summer, interns will join a Finance team where they may work on existing projects or take individual ownership of a project, including data gathering, comprehensive analysis, and preparation of findings, solutions, and recommendations for senior leaders.

Delta\'s Finance team plays a critical role in shaping strategic decisions and driving the long-term financial success of the airline. Finance interns receive focused attention to help grow their interdepartmental network as well as professional development opportunities.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Candidates must be a rising senior in an undergraduate program with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or another analytical discipline with a graduation date of December 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
  • At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
  • This position requires the student to work full-time during the Summer 2027 semester. The student cannot actively take any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as an Intern at the same time, which may delay graduation by 1-2 semesters
  • Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the internship
  • Working as an Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce
  • Ideal candidates have strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
