Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inquiries with clear, effective communication across the organization.
  • Conduct data quality reviews of third-party deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to development and refinement of procurement policies and processes.
  • Manage vendor documentation through organized cataloging and archiving for easy retrieval and compliance.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments to achieve procurement objectives.

JOB DESCRIPTION
What this Department does:

The Tallgrass Procurement Team plays a critical role in securing materials and services essential for the company's production and daily operations. The team manages contractor agreements, evaluates pricing to ensure optimal value, and guarantees compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Leveraging advanced analytics and digital tools, the team drives efficiency, transparency, and strategic sourcing to support Tallgrass's growth and sustainability goals.

What will you bring:
Education:

Students actively enrolled in a degreed program and attended classes related to Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management with expected graduation date of December 2026- May 2028

Experience/Specific Knowledge
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe Acrobat and PDF editing tools.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn procurement software platforms, data visualization tools, and digital collaboration technologies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (preferred but not required).

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person Houston office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.

Compensation And Other Benefits
  • $20.90-$37.09 USD Hourly
  • The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include paid time off, a housing stipend, and more.

Compensation ranges are provided in good faith based on what we anticipate when researching wages for this position at the state and national levels. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
