Job summary

Tallgrass MLP Operations, LLC invites students to join our Subsurface Operations internship in Lakewood, CO. This in-person program runs May–August 2027 for 10 weeks, supporting design, analysis, and field data collection around subsurface wells and gas storage projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION

What this Department does:

The Subsurface Operations team focuses on subsurface engineering, focusing on the design, implementation, and monitoring of Class VI injection wells and gas storage projects.

What will you bring:

Education:

Student actively enrolled in an approved Petroleum Engineering degree program with expected graduation date of December 2026 - May 2028

Experience/Specific Knowledge (what skills, classes, experience do they need to have)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic understanding of subsurface engineering principles.
• Bonus: Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse)

What Else You Need to Know

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Lakewood office. We will host our Summer 2027 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.

Compensation And Other Benefits

• Pay Range $26.18-$37.09 USD Hourly
• The final pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for this role may also include; paid time off, a housing stipend and more.
