Job summary

  • Technical Skills: PowerBI (preferred) or Tableau experience, Excel, SQL.
  • Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Marketing, sales, or customer service background preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity and analytical skills.
  • Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Personal Line State Management Analytics group.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Analyze business trends, performance metrics, and data to identify opportunities and provide insights.
  • Use SQL to collect, extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources.
  • Prepare data and reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers.
  • Summarize information and communicate analyses to internal partners.

SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

The Hanover’s Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job.
Through the 10-week summer program (June – mid August), You will:

Our Personal Lines State Management team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
  • Support the Personal Line State Management Analytics group
  • Use analytical skills to the development and enhancement of unique propriety business tools that drive optimization and consolidation of agent partners business
  • Analyze business trends, performance metrics, and operational data to identify opportunities and provide actionable insights
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support business growth, decision-making, and customer needs
  • Use SQL to collect, extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources to support reporting and analytics initiatives
  • Develop data and reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers
  • Provide accurate analytical support to team supported ensuring results are validated and accurate
  • Summarize information and effectively communicate analyses in writing and verbally to internal partners
  • Assist in various projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving business environment
  • Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
  • Communicate with customers, external partners and internal departments frequently
