SUMMER INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

The Hanover’s Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on a variety of critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job.
Through the 10-week summer program (June – mid August), You will:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Support Personal Lines Underwriting Strategy initiatives through data analysis, research, and performance monitoring across products, segments, and geographies.
• Analyze underwriting, pricing, and portfolio performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging risks, and present findings to business leaders.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of underwriting strategies, guidelines, and appetite enhancements to support profitable growth.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams, including Underwriting, Product, Pricing, Actuarial, and Analytics, to support strategic projects and business initiatives.
• Create reports, presentations, and dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for decision‑making.
• Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
• Develop data and Power BI reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers
• Assist in various projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing and evolving business environment

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in risk management, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related analytical field.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or advanced program
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
• Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
• Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Excel, SQL and Power BI experience preferred
