  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus.
  • Soft skills: strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation.
  • Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records.
  • Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs, assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling, and create/analyze models using GHS software.
  • Participate in incline experiments and deadweight surveys.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects.

Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Naval Architect Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Pascagoula facility. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation.
  • Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records.
  • Perform structural calculations and weight take-offs, assist in the development of 2D drawings and 3D modeling, as well as create and analyze models using GHS (General Hydrostatics) software.
