Job summary

Moog Inc. in Blacksburg, VA is seeking an Intern in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering for an onsite, part-time position.

You will assist with key engineering tasks and provide technical support to engineers and machinists, while gaining hands-on experience in a space and defense-focused environment. Applicants must be enrolled in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering program, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be eligible for access to export-controlled information.

• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks.
• Provide technical support to engineers and machinists as needed.
• Work experience may include reviewing inspection reports, utilizing different measurement techniques, interacting with 2D prints and tolerances, and/or collecting and reviewing data, based on the student's educational discipline.
• Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Operate as a multidisciplinary member of a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical and professional reputation.

The Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering team within our Space and Defense Group is seeking a part-time intern. The intern will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or other relevant Engineering Bachelor's or Master's Degree program, at an accredited university.
• GPA of at least 3.0; exact GPA requirement will be specified by department.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.

Salary Range Transparency

Blacksburg, VA $23.42–$28.92 Hourly
