Job summary

Moog Inc in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a part-time Intern, Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering within the Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering team in Space and Defense. The role reports to the Value Stream Manager and is onsite.

You will assist in preparing and executing key engineering tasks, support engineers and machinists, review inspection reports, and help collect and analyze data to improve processes and quality.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering degree program.
• GPA of at least 3.0; exact GPA specified by department.
• Access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Ability to relocate for the internship duration.
• Professional disposition, effective communication, eagerness to learn, teamwork.

Job Title: Intern, Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Reporting To: Value Stream Manager Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA The Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering team within our Space and Defense Group is seeking a part-time intern. The intern will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, VA.

To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

• Enrolled in a Mechanical, Aerospace, or other relevant Engineering Bachelor's or Master's Degree program, at an accredited university.
• GPA of at least 3.0; exact GPA requirement will be specified by department.
• This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship.
• Students within the Moog U.S. Internship Program are expected to have a professional disposition, effective communication skills, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.

In this role you will:

• Contribute to the preparation and execution of key engineering tasks at Moog.
• Provide technical support to engineers and machinists as needed.
• Work experience may include reviewing inspection reports, utilizing different measurement techniques, interacting with 2D prints and tolerances, and/or collecting and reviewing data, based on the student's educational discipline.
• Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
• Operate as a multidisciplinary member of a team of creative, independent individuals.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its technical and professional reputation.

Salary Range Transparency:

Blacksburg, VA $23.42–$28.92 Hourly Salary Range
