Job summary

Bombardier invites an Intern, Material & Processes Laboratory to join our Aerospace Mexico (B.A.M) team. You will support the execution of laboratory tests, document results, and help ensure compliance with quality standards.

This temporary, day-shift role emphasizes hands-on learning and teamwork. Ideal candidates are in the final semester of a Bachelor's in Materials, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering, or have graduated within 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Final semester of a Bachelor’s degree or graduated within the last 12 months.
  • Degrees in Materials, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments and laboratory equipment.
  • Strong English and MS Office skills (Excel, Pivot tables, macros) beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of laboratory tests and analyses per procedures, standards and specs.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve departmental objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of Bombardier's standards, processes and best practices.
  • Record, analyze and document test results, and prepare basic technical reports.
  • Plan and organize assigned tasks to ensure timely completion of daily work.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving low-complexity technical issues under guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, quality requirements and regulations.

How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge and experience

Mandatory: Be in the final semester of a Bachelor's degree program or have graduated from university within the last 12 months.



  • Hold or be pursuing a degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

  • Previous laboratory experience working with a variety of materials is preferred.

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for and interest in laboratory specimen preparation and testing activities.

  • Be familiar with the use of measurement instruments and laboratory equipment.

  • Have the ability and willingness to learn and perform laboratory testing procedures.

  • Possess the ability to communicate in basic English.

  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including the use of pivot tables and macros.
