Office of Attorney General/Law Enforcement Training in Pierre offers a Summer Session internship for the Law Enforcement Training program. The Intern - Law Enforcement Training coordinates the summer firearms program, maintains officer training records, and assists with Basic Certification Course activities.
Applicants must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student and have completed at least one year of study. A background check and drug screening are required.

*APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER.
The intern will coordinate the summer firearms program, conduct correspondence with departments to update officer training records and update course curriculum, assist LET personnel with training as appropriate during the Basic Certification Course, and other general duties within the office.
Students with an interest in a law enforcement career and coursework relevant to that career preferred.
